B2B Opportunities on Social Media
I recently found an article
on Forbes about B2B or business to business opportunities on social media. B2B
is basically a wholesaler or retailer operating with another wholesaler or retailer
and making business transactions with one another. Social media platforms allow
these businesses to market their product/service to their customers on
different mediums, in different settings and reach a larger range of customers.
One of the best ways to effectively market to anyone is to
tap into the emotions of your customers. It was also discussed in the Instagram
chapter of the social media marketing workbook about appealing to the
narcissistic, self-centered side of people. This allows the creative side of
social media marketing to open up and becoming more appealing to a specific
market or the general populous. One of the most effective ways companies can be
in touch with the emotional side of their customers is through videos, reviews
and interactions with previous customers. This allows customers to get accurate
reviews of products or services and get a more sentimental connection than just
written reviews.
Staying relevant in the market is key for business to survive
according to Carlos Machicao in his article on Forbes. An easy way to stay relevant
is to keep creating good content. Customers don’t want to be bothered by
constant emails or phone calls just to be kept in the loop about a brand,
product or company. Social media allows companies to be present in the minds of
customers without being annoying or assertive. Quality of content is what truly
matters when reaching out to a customer base so when companies continue posting
good content, it keeps consumers interested and brings in more potential
customers.
Customer trust is essential for any business. Machicao talks
about how important it is for a company to have credibility among its customers
and potential customers. Machicao says “You already have an AdWords campaign set up, and
your website looks nice. But that's not enough. People know you will say only
wonderful things about your product on your website. They want to see reviews
of your business solutions, as well as comments from your clients and
interactions. They need to trust you.” And he couldn’t be more right. In order to attract more customers, they have
to like what they see when you interact with consumers and other brands. This
is where social media shines. Social media is a tell all for how companies
interact with one another and can give you a perspective on what kind of
company they truly are.
